how to take care of yourself

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are - ee cummings ⠀
.

it’s mental health awareness week. mental health is health. mental health is equally as important as the strength of your biceps, your flat tummy, your hair color, your diet.
.

but we continue to ignore the state of our minds, pushing discomfort down, shying away from vulnerability and not asking for help.
.

it’s never too late to make a change, step into your pain and get help with it all. what you think is normal and you can handle alone is bringing you down.
.

by being courageous and admitting you need assistance with your stress, self doubt, limiting beliefs, anxiety, catastrophic thinking, apathy, hopelessness, indifference, impulsivity, addiction, insomnia, pain...you give others the courage to as well. and there’s so much beauty in the connection made through our own vulnerability.
.
so step out. step up. it can be better than this.
