Meet Devin…

Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who shows up authentically. During our time, that (hopefully) is what you'll hear from me as my only ask of you: that you show up and bring your true self. Clients who bring their strengths, weaknesses, inhibitions, and everything in between are my favorite people to work with. Your true self is valued here!

Why do you like being a therapist?
Might be a shocker here, but I genuinely love people. Everyone has a story to tell and everyone has something that they can teach others. I feel so lucky that I'm in a profession where I get to learn from others every day!

What’s something you wish people knew about therapy?
Often, we might tell ourselves that our problems or our thoughts can never be shared or else they will scare people away. I want everyone to know that there is never a problem that is too big or too small. You will always have a safe space here that is full of empathy and completely free from judgement or shame.

Why can people benefit from therapy?
My favorite thing about therapy is that it can be both responsive and preventative. Similar to seeing your doctor, going to therapy can help when we have a presenting problem that we need help with. However, we can also go to therapy for checkups just to make sure we're doing alright! Therapy can be a fantastic way for us to measure how we are doing in multiple areas of our life and find ways to improve our overall quality of life.

What does “success” in therapy look like to you?
Success looks different for everyone. Whether life-altering change is created or we create one small change in habit to improve our quality of life, all of that constitutes success. Even if you hate it, if you at least give it a shot, you were successful in finding out therapy wasn't for you!

What’s something you’d like clients to know about how you work?
Life is unpredictable and requires flexibility. Our sessions together will mirror that flexibility. While I might show up with topics to discuss or ideas to circle back on, this is your space to occupy. I'm here to serve you as best as I can.
