WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Kerry, thank you for the most simple life change. You just asked us to check in with how we feel, how we act and react to certain things. For me? One cup of coffee. Not drinking until the pot is gone, increasing my heart rate and decreasing my patience. I have switched to just one cup in the morning and I feel so much better. Thank you for helping me make such a difference in my routine.

Years of compassion and countless episodes of Law & Order: SVU fueled Erica’s love for helping others. After originally beginning as a psychology major, it didn’t take long for her to find her way to social work. Versatility in the social work profession led her to pursue both a Bachelor’s and Masters in Social Work from Grand Valley State University.

After nearly a decade in corporate wellness and human resources, across diverse industries from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, Kerry witnessed too many professionals struggling with stress and lacking the tools to cope. As a former Type-A who glorified being busy herself, Kerry saw first hand the benefits of yoga and meditation on her mental and physical health. In deciding to work more directly with her chronically stressed peers, Kerry completed her M.ED from DePaul University in Clinical Counseling while simultaneously graduating as a 200-level yoga instructor with CorePower Yoga.

After a period of time focusing on raising her three children, ranging in age from 8 to 16, Lisa is excited to bring her clinical expertise back into a formal clinical setting. Diving into uncomfortable topics through grace, kindness, empathy and focusing on strengths has been Lisa’s approach in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient and residential treatment for adolescents. Lisa is family-focused and thrives when helping families experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties find expanded ways of supporting and communicating with each other. Additionally, Lisa has a strength in working with those experiencing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, such as healthcare workers and educators. Lastly, her experience as a mom herself has lent to her own understanding of and treatment for perinatal mood disorders and associated anxiety.

After successfully completing her second 200-hr registered yoga teacher training certificate, Sam took a giant leap of faith in an effort to pursue her passion project, advocating for and cultivating supportive interventions for individuals who suffer with chronic anxiety and clinical depression. She quickly transitioned out of the corporate marketing arena, enrolled as an MSW student at Wayne State University, and began constructing a full-time yoga and meditation platform focused on integrating mindful movement into a more holistic, breath centered path of mind/body healing. Sam’s intention is always to lead with honesty and integrity as she supports her community in acknowledging deeper connections within themselves, their family system and environment as a whole.
Reset Brain and Body presented on "Neurodiversity in the Workplace" at our recent staff development day. Their presentation was thoughtful and thorough, and staff feedback was positive. Both before and after the presentation the staff were professional and very communicative. Great experience, would recommend to other workplaces for staff training and development.
