Meet Casey…
Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who understands the importance of collaboration, self-reflection and continued education in the treatment process. I enjoy working with someone who appreciates being challenged and being held accountable. Authenticity, humor, self-awareness and curiosity are all values that I bring to each session, and I have seen outstanding growth in the clients who also share these values.
Why do you like being a therapist?
I like being a therapist because it combines all the best parts of human nature into one role with the opportunity to build many, many relationships. To me, some of the best parts of being human include, being vulnerable, collaborating, communicating, building deeper bonds and a commitment to greater health and wellness.
What's something you wish people knew about therapy?
I wish more people understood that anyone could benefit from therapy at any time in their lifespan. I also wish people understood that they have the right to be picky when choosing their therapist and have the right to build a healthy and supportive relationship with someone they trust and feel accepted by.
Why can people benefit from therapy?
I feel strongly that the only way to reach self-actualization is to work continuously at meeting your physical, mental and emotional needs. These needs are ever changing and require the support of others, ongoing self monitoring, and knowledge of the right skills and lifestyles for the person seeking them.
What's something you'd like clients to know about you (or how you work)?
When working with me, you can expect reliable, patient, empathetic, and attentive care. My diverse experiences, personally and professionally, have increased my ability to integrate many models of care into my work, including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Addiction Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma informed care for everyone with no exceptions. I appreciate the individuality of each person and their experiences which is highlighted in my ability to connect with and readily build trust with those that I am supporting.

Describe your perfect Sunday
To me, the perfect Sunday would be void of sunday-scaries and full of naps on the beach, breakfast for dinner and a card game with friends.
A book that you think everyone should read
It is hard to choose between The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Atlas of the Heart by Brené Brown
If you weren’t a mental health professional, what would you be doing?
I have attained the career I was most hopeful for but if that were to ever change, I would pursue a career as a judge or professional DJ
