Meet Neil…

Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who is flexible, open to experience, and willing to be vulnerable. I particularly enjoy working with someone who is growth oriented and motivated to change from the inside out. I work well with individuals who truly honor their feelings and are not hesitant to let their emotions guide them.

Why do you like being a therapist?
I love people and stories. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with others and witnessing the depths of the human spirit: not only what it can endure, but also what it is capable of.

What's something you wish people knew about therapy?
Therapy is much more of a casual experience than most realize, and shapes its form depending on what the moment gives. It may not always feel beneficial, but certainly nurtures itself with time and holds the potential to be transformative, surprising, and potentially life changing.

Why can people benefit from therapy?
Therapy offers one the space to grow in unexpected ways.  So often we are affected by the things we don't want to talk about.  We as people need a space free of judgment to grow and cultivate our true selves.  Therapy gives one the space to confront the fears, insecurities, and unknowns within oneself that hold one back from uninhibited living.

What does "success" in therapy look like to you?
Success in therapy is genuinely subjective.  Positive outcomes in therapy are not always tangible in nature - it is often defined by a sense of personal growth, renewal, or metamorphosis.

What's something you'd like clients to know about you (or how you work)?
I am casual and easy going, but am willing to push when needed.  In our work together, I will honor your inner potential and push you to access and harness it if you allow me to do so.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Pistachio!

What is your favorite place?
I have a special sand dune up north I try to visit once a year.  It is where the earth and the sky meet and my mind can feel at peace.

Favorite quote?
"Home is knowing. Knowing your mind. Knowing your heart. Knowing your courage. If we know ourselves, we are always home. Anywhere."  —Glinda The Good Witch

Other than mental health, what is something you’re passionate about?
Cooking and dining out! I love trying new foods, recipes, and cuisines.

What is your favorite way to move your body?
Trail running. I love running in the woods and freeing my mind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
