Bethany earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience before pursuing a career as a medical provider. Through her experiences working in an acute care hospital and serving as a volunteer at a hospice organization, she came to realize that her passion for helping others heal was better aligned with guiding clients toward holistic health and well-being through mental health care.

After a period of time focusing on raising her three children, ranging in age from 8 to 16, Lisa is excited to bring her clinical expertise back into a formal clinical setting. Diving into uncomfortable topics through grace, kindness, empathy and focusing on strengths has been Lisa’s approach in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient and residential treatment for adolescents. Lisa is family-focused and thrives when helping families experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties find expanded ways of supporting and communicating with each other. Additionally, Lisa has a strength in working with those experiencing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, such as healthcare workers and educators. Lastly, her experience as a mom herself has lent to her own understanding of and treatment for perinatal mood disorders and associated anxiety.
