My ideal client is one who becomes a partner with me in their own treatment. They invest in their healing as much as I do. My ideal client is brave enough to be transparent about how sessions are going for them so that I can adjust therapy to be what they need it to be. Although I enjoy working with a variety of clients, their needs, and goals, I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. My ideal client wants to heal and grow, by learning about how their brain and body can affect their emotions.

As a "neuroscience-informed" therapist, I specialize in including nervous system states to help with healing. A few examples of this includes my incorporation of polyvagal work, somatic interventions, and EMDR amongst my therapeutic modalities. I am grateful to be a safe space for clients to talk, vent, get angry, be happy, and cry. However, what brings me the most joy as a therapist is seeing that "a-ha" moment in a client's eyes when they realize my role was simply as a cheerleader and encourager; they were the quarterback doing the work. Their success comes from within.

  • I love the French and Canadian-French cultures, and I can speak French fluently! This love of French culture has even inspired me to collect “quimper,” a type of French pottery.
