What to Expect in Counseling

What do you find in your stillness? ⠀
.⠀
We invite you to be brave to sit, to approach your busy mind with courage and curiosity. ⠀
.⠀
Too many of us go through life in a “to-me” state. We are the victims of circumstance, most of our life can be blamed on someone or something else. ⠀
.⠀
Sound familiar?⠀
.⠀
But when we clear the clutter of our stories, negativity, ego (ugh, ego!!), we can approach our life and life circumstances with curiosity. ⠀
.⠀
When we get curious we can tune in to ask, questions like:⠀
“what is the lesson in this?”⠀
“how might I have contributed to this?”⠀
Or even bigger,⠀
“what is working through me to deliver a message?”⠀
.⠀
The thing is, stillness is scary. Because when we start to get curious about our minds stories, we have to own up to our own BS. ⠀
.⠀
And so we avoid. We continue to play victim, say we’re “so busy”, we numb and ignore and resist. All the while perpetuating our story of things happening “to me”⠀
.⠀
So, come and have a seat. Let’s get curious. Because there’s a more useful way to live in this life. ⠀
