The Family Reset: Workshop Series
Based on our original The Family Reset program
Through education, interactive insight, break-out circles, and supplemental at-home materials, Reset Brain and Body supports parents to build self-awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors as it relates to their role as parents.
Our Reset facilitator will teach parents effective tools to foster healthy family relationships, build a preventative skillset to overcome parenting challenges, and promote the relationship between parents and educators to support whole child well-being. This three-part on-site program will also establish an action plan to help integrate learnings into the home.
Learning Objectives:
Understand a child’s brain and emotional development and how it impacts behavior in relation to the role of a parent
Best practices for discipline, connection building, setting boundaries and communication
Awareness of a parent's own obstacles to being calm, conscious, and controlled in handling household stressors
Compassion and understanding towards the generational impacts on ineffective coping skills, such as technology addiction, and how to model better behavior
Reframing parent's expectations for themselves and their family system to approach situations with more grace and compassion
Establishment of an action plan to help integrate learnings into the home
Session Breakdown:
Session 1: Awareness of Self - 120 minutes
Understanding of Attachment Theory and developmental considerations
Using the Shame Triangle model to have compassion for the present role as a parent
Identifying values and self-preservation plan to show up as your best self
Q&A and break out circles for interactive, experiential exercises to bring home
Session 2: The Brain-Body Influence - 120 minutes
Check-in and review of the previous session
The impacts of acute and chronic stress through a science and brain-body lens
Tools to expand Window of Tolerance for managing stressors and difficulties
Q&A and break out circles for interactive, experiential exercises to bring home
Session 3: Establishing Mindful Connection - 120 minutes
Check-in and review of the previous sessions
How to meet the emotional needs of your child through our PACS model
How to implement the latest research-supported discipline practices
Q&A and break out circles for interactive, experiential exercises to bring home
